We were shocked to hear the news on Tuesday 23 August that our highly valued colleague Jan Willem van Empel passed away unexpectedly. Jan Willem was part of the heart of NDI and had a place in the heart of all NDI-ers. As a confidant, rock in the surf in tense times, source of information, expert computer engineer, co-thinker, guru, “jack of all trades” and tastemaker, but above all as a person, JW was inextricably linked to NDI for all colleagues and many customers.
We miss him terribly but our thoughts go out especially to Maartje, Michael and other family and friends of JW.
